Nathan Vaughn announces key issues surrounding his 2010 re-election campaign
KINGSPORT, TN – On Monday, August 9, 2010, Nathan Vaughn will hold a live streaming press conference at 11:00 a.m. in the Atrium at the Kingsport Renaissance Center to announce key issues surrounding his 2010 re-election campaign.
Vaughn served as state representative for the 2nddistrict for three previous terms from 2002 -2008. During his time in the legislature, he served on : Children & Family Affairs, Finance Ways and Means, and Transportation committees in addition to serving as the Secretary of Calendar and Rules. Vaughn lost his re-election campaign to current incumbent 2nd District Representative Tony Shipley in 2008.
It's about the people of the 2nd District,” said former representative Vaughn, “I don't believe their needs are being met. That is why I chose to run again. My record shows the emphasis I've placed on the people of the second district, and that is what I plan to show.
Vaughn will discuss the key issues that he considers to be the priority for the residents of the 2nd District at his press conference Monday, August 9, 2010. The Kingsport Renaissance Center is a facility which serves the community as a center for the arts and senior citizen's activities, and as a facility for business meetings, parties, receptions, classes, showers, and day-long seminars with breakout rooms.
